Coaching that starts with the body. Soma // the body. Somatics is the practice of developing awareness of your internal ecosystem and experience: your sensations, emotions, patterns, and nervous system responses.

Alchemizing, “What workout or training session should I do [and maybe force] myself to do today?” becomes “What is my body communicating and how can I align myself with her/him/them?”

This does not mean we are abandoning goals or intentions.

We learn to listen and communicate, so that performance becomes a byproduct of relationship rather than control.

After navigating a multitude of healing experiences (illness, injury, and trauma), I fully discovered something different. Our body isn’t a machine or robot or AI to control. It’s a relationship to cultivate.

Today, I help humans, mostly women, train, heal, and move through a trauma-informed, physiology-aware approach to movement. Because movement and healing, physical and emotional, mental and spiritual, aren’t separate worlds.

Every time you explore space with her, you help provide hope and healing for animals at Live Like Roo, Abandoned Pet Rescue, Good Karma Rescue, and Last Chance Animal Rescue. Each month, a portion of your investment goes to these nonprofit organizations to support the rescue, foster of animals from high kill shelters, the streets, and abandonment, as well as financial support and treatment for animals that have a cancer diagnosis.
